About the Role

Sustainable Outdoors is a small family-owned business based in the Fremantle area, offering environmental weed control and revegetation services to clients within the Perth region.

The role involves a variety of tasks in environmental bushland restoration and residential landscaping, including seasonal chemical weed control, hand weeding, bushland revegetation, erosion control, and pruning.

We are seeking a motivated and physically fit individual to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in environmental bushland restoration and residential landscaping projects
  • Perform tasks such as seasonal chemical weed control, hand weeding, and bushland revegetation
  • Contribute to erosion control and pruning efforts
  • Assist with reticulation installs, soil preparation, planting, and mulching
  • Occasionally perform paving tasks

Requirements

  • Full-time availability, Monday to Friday, with 6:30am starts
  • Reliable personal transport and a manual WA Drivers Licence
  • Attention to detail, genuine care for the environment, and passion for creating high-quality landscape projects
  • Physically fit, self-motivated, and capable of demanding outdoor team work
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Knowledge of landscaping construction and practices

Desirable Attributes

  • Identification knowledge of native bushland plants and weeds
  • Previous landscaping experience, reticulation design & installs, operating a dingo mini loader
  • Mechanical aptitude (chainsaw/brush cutter/blower) and using 2-stroke fuel

Pre-Employment Requirements

  • WA Drivers Licence
  • Police clearance
  • OH&S White Card
  • Pesticide licence medical and application form

We have a no-tolerance drug and alcohol policy and may require a paid work trial as part of the employment process.
