Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team. As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide in-home support to clients with complex mental and physical health issues, promoting their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and domestic support to clients in their homes
  • Assist clients with medication administration and management
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet clients' needs
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development

Requirements

  • Individual Support (Disability) Certificate III or higher
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities and complex needs
  • Previous experience in medication assistance and administration (HLTHPS006)
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certificate
  • Current Open Drivers Licence
  • Current Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Card

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with dementia clients, positive behavior support, and epilepsy
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
