About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Truck Driver to join our team on a seasonal casual basis. As a Truck Driver with Australia Post, you will be responsible for delivering parcels and packages to customers across the country.

Key Responsibilities

  • Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload parcels and packages from our trucks using a forklift.
  • Vehicle Safety Checks: Complete daily vehicle safety checks to ensure our trucks are roadworthy.
  • Delivery and Collection: Drive our modern trucks between our operational centres and customers, delivering and collecting parcels and packages.
  • Unloading and Returning: Return to our operational centres to unload pick-ups and prepare for the next delivery.
  • Hourly Rate and Overtime: Earn competitive hourly casual base rates starting from $ super and additional loadings, with opportunities for overtime.
  • Full-Time Hours and Ongoing Employment: Work full-time hours starting from Mid-October through to January with opportunities for ongoing permanent employment.

About You

  • Availability: Be available to work from October, through our peak period.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Hold current and valid HC & Forklift Licenses.
  • Safety Focus: Be safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: Have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills.
  • Physical Ability: Be fit enough to load and unload parcels of all different shapes, sizes and weights.
  • Pre-Employment Requirements: Be prepared to provide a driving history report, undergo an Australia Post specific pre-employment medical, drug/alcohol screening and national police checks.
