Job Summary

We seek an experienced casual Health and Safety Expert with medical expertise to join our offshore team on our vessels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in implementing our health and safety systems through consultation and coordination with the offshore marine and project management teams.
  • Provide health and safety advice and oversight in support of offshore construction/subsea intervention activities.
  • Conduct workforce coaching and training in company health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and conduct health and safety training on board the vessel.
  • Record incidents and health and safety statistical information.
  • Conduct incident investigations in line with company procedures.
  • Manage the ship's hospital, including maintaining the hospital equipment in line with company and flag state requirements.
  • Respond and manage medical emergencies.
  • Manage drug and alcohol testing in line with company policy.
  • Maintain medical records and injury reports.
  • Be computer proficient with database systems and Microsoft office.
About You

You will be a qualified professional with proven health, safety, environment, and medical expertise. You should have a balance of proactive leadership and the ability to respond effectively to health and safety challenges as they arise.

  • Registered nurse or paramedic with valid registration.
  • Cert IV or diploma in occupational health and safety.
  • Cert IV in training and assessment is advantageous.
  • Preferably 5 years of health and safety experience within the oil and gas industry.
  • Preferably 5 years of experience in a clinical setting.
  • Emergency response training is desired, specifically in advanced life support, burns, trauma, MIMMS, and specimen collection.
  • BOSIET training.
  • Valid offshore medical certificate.
