Senior Geotechnical Engineer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our organization in Newcastle, Australia.

The successful candidate will contribute to delivering geotechnical expertise for residential, transport and infrastructure projects across all stages, from investigation to construction supervision.

  • Develop, coordinate and manage field data acquisition, site investigations, testing and produce calculations, reporting, specifications and drawings to ensure geotechnical designs provide appropriate solutions.
  • Undertake comprehensive geotechnical analysis in areas such as slope stability, pavement designs, foundations and retaining walls.
  • Conduct quality checks and reviews to ensure technical standards are met.
  • Plan, program and coordinate geotechnical project inputs, to deliver the agreed outputs on time and to agreed quality standards.
  • Prepare proposals and participate in marketing initiatives as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering with completion of geotechnical electives and/or major as part of your university studies.
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in consulting field and/or recognized as a senior engineer in your current role.
  • Experience with soil investigation, supervision and geotechnical design.
  • Previous experience with engineering software packages such as gINT, GEOSTUDIO, PLAXIS, ROCSCIENCE, CIRCLY, AutoCAD.
