Job Description

This is a high-profile opportunity for an ambitious individual to be part of a large-scale transformational program across two major health services.

As the EMR Integration Specialist, you will design, develop, and implement integration architecture to deliver mission-critical data exchange between the EMR and over 70 third-party application systems. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with health service integration teams to determine current integration methods and capabilities;
  • Developing integration architecture that supports a highly interoperable environment;
  • Leading a team of analysts to develop and deploy agreed integration architecture design.

This role involves working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders across various locations.


Required Skills and Qualifications

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in EMR environments, particularly in integration leadership roles. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science and have at least 5 years of experience in EMR environments.

  • Mandatory qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science;
    • Minimum 5 years working in EMR environments in an integration leadership role;
    • Experience in healthcare or other regulated industries;
    • Experience with hospital systems, healthcare IT, or clinical systems;
    • Strong HL7 experience and ability to configure interfaces;
    • Sound working knowledge with FHIR, RESTful APIs, SOAP, and secure messaging protocols;
    • Experience with data integration technologies;
    • Ability to lead workshops, define current and future state architectures, and document technical solutions;
    • Strong vendor management experience and working with third-party application partner organisations;
    • Demonstrated ability to work with experts on multiple deliverables in a large-scale environment across multiple locations;
    • Ability to work on-premise, including travel to sites within Metro Melbourne and western Victoria;
    • Possesses a current Victorian Drivers License;
    • Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders;
