Water Sustainability Specialist

Do you have a passion for environmental sustainability and community development? We are seeking an experienced Water Reclamation Facility Operator to oversee the daily operations of our wastewater treatment facilities.
This is a key role in ensuring efficient, effective, and environmentally responsible wastewater treatment – critical to public health and sustainability. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of our wastewater treatment plants, including monitoring water quality, performing routine maintenance tasks, and implementing process improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Certificate III in Wastewater Operations or equivalent qualification
- Strong experience in Biological Nutrient Removal processes
- Forklift Licence, Confined Space Entry, and Senior First Aid (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Ability to coordinate work areas and mentor small teams
- Sound computer and teamwork skills with a focus on customer service
- $1,434.81 gross per week ($37.76/hr) + $6.50/hr temporary Over Award payment
- Up to 12.65% superannuation + 17.5% annual leave loading
- Additional allowances for on-call, overtime, and more
- Flexible work: 38-hour week with access to banked time
- Council vehicle for work-related travel
- Ongoing training and professional development
