Overview

Are you passionate about making a difference in your community and the environment? We're looking for a Water Reclamation Facility Operator to help manage the daily operations of the Wetalla Water Reclamation Plant, Wetalla Advanced Water Treatment Plant, and Toowoomba Service Centre wastewater pumping stations.

You'll play a key role in ensuring efficient, effective, and environmentally responsible wastewater treatment – critical to public health and sustainability.

What We Offer
  • $1,434.81 gross per week ($37.76/hr) + $6.50/hr temporary Over Award payment
  • Up to 12.65% superannuation + 17.5% annual leave loading
  • Additional allowances for on-call, overtime, and more
  • Flexible work: 38-hour week with access to banked time
  • Council vehicle for work-related travel
  • Ongoing training and professional development
To Succeed in This Role
  • Certificate III in Wastewater Operations
  • Qualifications or strong experience in Biological Nutrient Removal processes
  • Forklift Licence, Confined Space Entry, and Senior First Aid (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
  • Ability to coordinate work areas and mentor small teams
  • Sound computer and teamwork skills with a focus on customer service
