
Commercial Contract Manager

This role is responsible for managing complex outsourcing contracts in a commercial contract environment. It contributes to the growth of our Enterprise business by ensuring that contracts are managed effectively and efficiently.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Drafting, collating, briefing, reviewing and approving contract variation documentation;
- Reviewing contract changes for commercial risk and liaising with operational stakeholders on contract changes, pricing, SLAs, and other contractual artefacts that carry commercial risk;
- Working with Legal (internal or external lawyers) on contractual changes that impact our rights under the contract;
- Reviewing SOWs/Proposals for any Commercial Risk and liaising with operational stakeholders on contract changes, pricing, SLAs, and other contractual artefacts that carry commercial risk;
- Identifying and summarizing key contract obligations and communicating to relevant internal stakeholders;
- Monitoring and communicating key milestones expeditiously, identifying and resolving potential issues in respect of the contract to maximise the ongoing customer relationship;
- Developing Contract Management Plans / Summaries and owning their maintenance throughout the contract lifecycle;
- Managing the Contract Lifecycle;
- Supporting in the negotiation of complex customer negotiations;
- Contribute to development of commercial risk mitigation strategies and tactics;
- Assisting in the identification and analysis of key risks to contract implementation;
- Reviewing customer claims and providing guidance on reconciliation options;
- Assisting and supporting in the resolution of contract or commercial disputes with the Customer;
- Providing contractual advice and interpretation to internal and external stakeholders on the terms of the supplier subcontracts;
- Acting as a commercial escalation point;
- Reviewing, recommending and/or preparing briefing information on complex contract and/or commercial issues, disputes or proposals;
- Reviewing contract interpretation advice where settlement of contract and/or commercial issues, disputes or proposals are required;
- Supporting Service Delivery to ensure Supplier (3rd party) contracts support contract deliverables;
- Managing the maintenance of contract updates to ensure correct and consistent contract interpretation and corporate governance adherence;
- Managing and maintaining Sales Catalogues or Approved Product Lists;
- Ensuring appropriate document governance is followed in relation to all contractual artefacts during the contract lifecycle;
- BUILDING strong and effective relationships with internal operational stakeholders (Sales, Pricing, Billing, and Delivery) to support contract deliverables;
- Establishing and maintaining key high-level relationships within our organisation to promote effectiveness in issue resolution and to enhance business dealings with Customers, Suppliers, Subcontractors and internal stakeholders;
- Establishing and maintaining key relationships with customer's contract and commercial stakeholders;
- Monitoring and updating the central SharePoint registry with contract and commercial matters impacting your accounts to ensure visibility and oversight;
To be successful in this role, you need to have:
- Extensive demonstrated experience managing complex outsourcing contracts in a commercial contract environment;
- Good project management skills with the proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, manage stakeholder engagement and meet tight deadlines;
- Proven experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and associated service level agreements;
- Current government security.
