The successful candidate will also support the Finance team in producing robust financial reports and forecasts.

About the Role

This Senior Financial Analyst position is a key member of the Finance team, responsible for driving material enhancements in the efficiency and quality of insights in financial/operational forecasting for the Australian business. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing forecasting models and reporting tools using SQL, SAS, Microsoft BI or other similar tools
  • Developing analytical reporting that supports the business to make better, more timely decisions
  • Evaluating and implementing best-in-class forecasting and reporting tools and techniques – visualization, analytics, natural language queries

The ideal candidate will have 8 years of Management Accounting experience, preferably in the Insurance and/or Telecommunications Industry, with strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex financial information effectively. Proficiency with Business Intelligence and analytics tools, as well as experience in managing large amounts of financial data from multiple sources and systems, is essential.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Qualified CA/CPA Accountant with US GAAP experience
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to position messages effectively with Functional Heads and business stakeholders across APAC
  • Able to articulate complex financial information, trends, and reports, and communicate in simple terms that inform strategy and business decisions
