About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join our team. As the Finance Business Partner, you will support the Managing Director and Leadership team to drive strategy and optimize performance.

You will play a key role in supporting strategic development and investment decision-making across the firm, focusing on understanding financial performance and driving key revenue, cost, and operating income drivers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business partner & advisor to business leaders and executive teams
  • Lead the monthly forecasting, quarterly business reviews, and annual budgeting process
  • Provide regular financial updates to the Board and strategic finance support
  • Conduct end-to-end financial analysis including drivers of revenue, cost, and headcount
  • Provide timely, accurate, and relevant fact-based financial information & commercial insights via value-added reporting
  • Continuously develop and implement key performance measures, trend analyses, and other operational insights
  • Challenge business partners to fully understand risks and opportunities
  • Perform competitor analysis and provide a competitive landscape to the business
  • Contribute to the commercial development of the business
  • Critically appraise all cost-benefit analyses relating to acquisitions and business development proposals
  • Support the development & implementation of effective strategy
  • Drive continuous improvement across financial reporting and analysis systems
  • Collaborate with Controllership for effective working capital management
  • Assist in coaching and developing junior finance colleagues

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong people skills with the ability to engage across distinct functions
  • Ability to influence, negotiate, lead, and coach
  • A curious mind with strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Transformation skills including process improvement and automation of reporting
  • Ability to perform complex financial analyses and build financial models
  • Strong financial acumen including controllership skills
  • CPA/CA qualifications preferred with at least 10 years of partnering experience in finance/insurance industry
  • Ability to manage, organize, and analyze high volume data
  • Ability to think commercially and provide insights
  • Ability to shape and inform strategy and decision making
  • Ability to use financial IT systems efficiently; Power BI experience valued
