At our Aged Care Facility, we pride ourselves on providing leading resident care and services which enables residents to remain independent with all employees working in a safe workplace. Our highly interactive support workers are committed to supporting elderly residents, their families and colleagues 7 days a week across various shifts.
This role based at one of our facilities will see you working closely with the nursing and resident engagement teams when performing your resident-centric care duties in a timely and compassionate manner surrounded by skilled and supportive carers and managers.
The attached position description outlines duties and accountabilities for this role - focusing on resident-centered activities.
About You
- You have worked in the Aged Care sector for at least 1 year and have the ability to think on your feet, communicate effectively, build rapport, and maintain professional relationships with residents and co-workers alike.
- Qualifications in Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) is preferred but not essential for this role however given the nature of the role working across resident lifestyle activities a Certificate IV in Leisure and Health is also eligible.
- Hold the NDIS Workers Screening Clearance as this is essential to work in the Aged Care sector (*or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent safety awareness to avoid our residents tripping, falling or hurting themselves - you need to be their extra eyes and ears.
- Very positive teamwork attitude, a trusted co-worker, excellent time management (we are a shift driven workplace including handovers) and always follow strict safety procedures to maintain a high standard of workplace safety.
