The Lead Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Director to lead the Finance function and implement strategy and direction for the function. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, with experience in preparing financial and management reporting, and a proven track record of managing a medium-sized organisation's accounting, tax and statutory compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly financial and management reporting, including budgets, cashflows, profit and loss, forecasts, accounts payable, debtors and job costing.
  • Prepare annual accounts for audit and annual statutory reporting.
  • Manage and be responsible for the group's integrated management system, including Prime, Procore and MYOB.
  • Manage day-to-day financial operations, including payroll, invoicing, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare and report on statutory compliance matters, including PAYG, BAS and other requirements.
  • Manage group insurance, including annual policy renewals and claims.
  • Provide financial and analytical support to the COO, Directors, Finance Manager and Managing Director.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures relating to finance and administration aimed at improving governance.
  • Support the COO, Directors and Managing Director around budgets, spending, reporting and financial accountability.

Requirements:

  • Experience in financial management and reporting.
  • Bachelor or Diploma of Accounting and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent.
  • Advanced experience and knowledge of MYOB and Microsoft suite.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a medium-sized organisation's accounting, tax and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience of working collaboratively and influencing across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Proven experience and skills in leadership of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective organising skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
