Reporting & Insights Specialist

Randstad Data is currently working with a large, Australian-wide organisation to find a talented Reporting & Insights Specialist to join their team permanently. This position is responsible for providing actionable insights to the business to inform strategic growth, operations, and portfolio performance decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Power BI to extract, integrate, and display large volumes of data from various sources, providing a comprehensive understanding of business performance.
  • Develop and maintain company-wide reports and data models, ensuring accurate and timely insights for business stakeholders.
  • Apply data analytics techniques to generate insights in areas such as customer experience, operations, marketing, and team performance.
  • Conduct regular reviews of existing portfolios to identify demographic, economic, and commercial drivers.
  • Present findings and results to the business, including executive management, through clear and concise documentation and presentations.
  • Provide analytical reviews of the Group's data and key performance metrics, ensuring accurate and timely insights.
  • Conduct comprehensive market, competitor, and benchmarking research, assessment, and financial analysis to inform business decisions.
  • Support senior management with financial and strategic analytics, including operations, new business opportunities, acquisition analysis, marketing campaigns, and other projects.
  • Collaborate with the FP&A team to develop the organisation's data strategy, including data dictionary, data integrity rules, documentation requirements, and master data file management.
  • Present information using Power BI to a range of levels in the organisation, including executive management.
  • Contribute to the budget and forecast process by analysing variances to KPIs vs targets.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years' experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of data and experience blending large volumes of data from different sources.
  • High-level understanding of data and experience extracting, integrating, manipulating, and displaying data from various systems using automation where possible.
  • 2+ years' Power BI experience, with advanced Excel modelling skills and the ability to plan and prioritise workload.
  • Natural curiosity to ask questions of the data and seek insights, with basic to intermediate SQL knowledge desired.
