Field Forklift Mechanic/Service Technician Job Description

This is a key role in the company's growth and overall success by delivering quality service to customers. The job involves servicing and repair of material handling equipment in a dedicated territory and customer base, helping the company build positive customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Servicing and repair of material handling equipment - Deliver quality service to customers.
  • Using latest field-based mobile technology to manage daily work schedule.
  • Inventory input on allocated service van & customer sites - Maintain professional level of service.
  • Gain experience in dealing with top tiered customer base.
  • Perform routine maintenance & complete service work - Reactive & Planned.
  • Accurately maintain important service records of work performed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a forklift mechanic or service technician highly regarded but not essential.
  • Ability to perform scheduled maintenance, safety checks, and repairs.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
