As a Real Estate Law Expert, you will play a key role in advising clients on commercial and residential property transactions, including sales and purchases, leasing, advice work, and project development and off-the-plan sales.

You will contribute to the overall financial performance of your practice group and Mccabes by delivering exceptional service to clients, developing client relationships, and identifying opportunities for growth.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert advice on commercial and residential property transactions
  • Managing client expectations and keeping clients informed about the progress of matters
  • Reviewing work produced by junior lawyers, associates, paralegals, and support staff; you will act as a role model and be responsible for delegating tasks
  • Working independently, proactively strategizing on complex matters and collaborating with senior lawyers on critical matter developments and pressure points
  • Effectively managing and running complex files and matters

We require a candidate with:

  • A Bachelor of Laws or equivalent and a current New South Wales practicing certificate
  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in commercial, industrial, and residential property transactions
  • Strong knowledge of the legal market and clients
  • The ability to lead and motivate teams
  • A client-focused approach and commercial acumen
  • The ability and confidence to deal directly with clients
  • A high degree of initiative, dedication, and organization
  • The ability to manage a busy workload and work under tight deadlines
