Job Title: Plough Crew Team Operations Manager
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Plough Crew Team Operations Manager to lead our fibre installation team.
- Manage a crew of 6 in the installation of optic fibre cables using ploughing techniques.
- Split time between leading on-site operations and planning, reporting, and liaising with supervisors.
This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership, civil experience, and a passion for working in remote environments.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee civil activities including cable hauling, excavation, and equipment operation.
- Maintain safety standards and lead daily pre-start/toolbox talks.
- Monitor project delivery, quality, and team performance.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain records, schedules, and progress reports.
- Operate plant and equipment: dozer, excavator, vacuum truck, winches, HR trucks.
Requirements:
- HR Licence (preferred)&Construction White Card.
- Experience leading plough crews in fibre installation (Optic Fibre Plough preferred).
- Strong planning, communication & IT skills.
- Ability to work remotely and live in a caravan when required.
