Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Site Manager to oversee the safe and efficient operation of our mining site. This is a full-time role based at our Dawson Mine, requiring strong leadership skills and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have operational experience in the earthmover tyre, mining or related industry in a supervisory or equivalent leadership role, with knowledge of tyres or mining/heavy haulage industries.

  • Develop and implement business improvement initiatives in remote teams
  • Standardise and align work processes across a geographically dispersed business
  • Experience in client engagement and negotiation

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing compliance audits, analysing and reporting audit findings, and providing advice on close-out of audit actions and implementation of controls and process improvements.

Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for complete site inductions, developing operational training packages, establishing best practice behaviours and work procedures, monitoring mine site operations, and creating consistency of operational procedures throughout the region.

The ideal candidate will also possess strong communication, negotiation, influencing and presentation skills, as well as a minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role and relevant qualifications such as a Certificate II in Automotive Mechanical – Tyre fitting Heavy (AUR 21920).

Requirements:
  • Operational experience in the earthmover tyre, mining or related industry in a supervisory or equivalent leadership role
  • Knowledge of tyres or mining/heavy haulage industries
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing business improvement and safety improvement initiatives in remote teams
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role
  • Relevant qualifications such as a Certificate II in Automotive Mechanical – Tyre fitting Heavy (AUR 21920)
