Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Secretary Civil Maritime Strategy and Policy will be responsible for overseeing the ABF's civil maritime strategic planning, capability planning, and policy program. This includes undertaking strategic engagement, advice, and communication to ensure the prioritization of issues for consideration by Government.

Requirements
  • Proven leadership experience in delivering operational outcomes or significant policy and strategy outcomes.
  • Ability to lead in a large, operationally complex organization and craft and deliver enterprise-wide policy, legislative, compliance, and operational solutions.
  • Experience in contributing to, influencing, and implementing strategic initiatives.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work across Government and with international and industry stakeholders.
