Job Description

The Senior Plant Technician – Electrical/Instrumentation is responsible for operating and maintaining all assets at Mt Stuart Power Station with a focus on electrical, instrumentation and High voltage assets.

This role requires a strong understanding of condition monitoring, rotating equipment, and control systems in power generation or heavy industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safe and effective operation and maintenance of Power station assets.
  • Prioritizing personnel safety and ensuring compliance with technical, environmental, and commercial standards.
  • Leading Permit to Work (PTW) processes for all Power station activities.
  • Managing plant outages and supporting project works involving electrical systems and control instrumentation.
  • Coordinating and managing High Voltage assets on site such as Transformers, Generators and protection systems.
  • Championing systems such as HSEC, PTW, CMMS, SCADA, Management of Change and DCS, with a focus on electrical and instrumentation reliability.
  • Participating in the site on-call roster and providing after-hours technical support.
