Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Digital Technology and Chief Information Officer to lead our Digital Technology section and drive the development of our digital strategy.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in digital technology and information security, with experience in leading teams and managing complex projects. They will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to the Digital Technology section, as well as serving as the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain productive relationships with senior executives, branches, and offices to influence the adoption of digital solutions;
  2. Plan, manage, and lead the strategic and operational services of the Digital Technology section;
  3. Act as the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer, overseeing the agency's cybersecurity program and ensuring compliance with the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework;
  4. Lead the development of the Digital Strategy, aligning with agency objectives for innovation and service improvement;
  5. Drive the implementation of leading practice policies, processes, and systems to support agency and government initiatives;
  6. Build and sustain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including professional associations, service providers, and government agencies;
  7. Provide high-level strategic and operational advice to senior executives on digital technology issues, risks, initiatives, and practices;
  8. Lead organizational-wide technology-related culture change initiatives.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of digital technology and information security, with experience in leading teams and managing complex projects. They will be a strategic thinker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build and sustain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
