Lecturer in Landscape Architecture

We are seeking an outstanding and inspiring educator in Landscape Architecture to join our team at UNSW Australia. As a Lecturer (Education Focused), you will contribute significantly to achieving the teaching and service missions of the School of Built Environment and the Program of Landscape Architecture.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences that inspire student learning and improve teaching and student experience.
- Initiate the development of emerging pedagogical approaches to teaching and learning, including the development of applied methodologies for climate positive design and improved landscape performance outcomes.
- Coordinate courses and manage course administration, including academic quality assurance.
- Assess student learning achievements and support students in postgraduate and undergraduate courses in line with UNSW policy.
- Maintain professional development in pedagogy, disciplinary knowledge, and deliver minimum professional accreditation requirements as determined by the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects.
- Demonstrate excellent team skills by making a positive contribution to the Landscape Architecture Program and School/Faculty committees as required.
We are looking for a candidate with knowledge and experience in urban ecology, designing for climate change, the material impacts of climate change, and the skills to assess climate change and landscape performance. The successful candidate will have a well-defined teaching philosophy and be able to develop and deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
