This is a role that involves proactively monitoring and responding to evolving cyber threats. As a Security Operations Specialist, you will be at the frontline of day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Monitoring and analyzing cyber threat intelligence feeds for emerging risks.
  • Planning, running, and reporting on phishing simulation campaigns and user awareness activities.
  • Conducting vulnerability scans and coordinating with stakeholders for remediation.
  • Supporting incident response and operational security activities.
  • Contributing to the uplift and implementation of security controls and standards.
  • Staying current on cyber threat trends, tools, and attacker techniques.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Hands-on experience in cybersecurity or adjacent fields.
  • Experience in cybersecurity operations, ideally in an MSP, SME, or lean team environment.
  • Familiarity with cyber threat intelligence feeds and how to apply them practically.
  • Proficiency in vulnerability scanning tools and remediation workflows.
  • Exposure to phishing simulation platforms and user awareness programs.
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure: applications, networks, servers, and endpoints.
  • Strong communication skills across all levels.
  • Industry certifications are a bonus but not a requirement.
