Visionary Web Engineer seeks to join an innovative team in shaping the future of web experiences.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and build scalable front-end systems that deliver high performance, reliability, and user satisfaction. They will work closely with leads, product managers, and engineers to gain valuable insights and develop effective solutions.

The role requires a strong understanding of web front-end tooling, including TypeScript, React, and MobX. The successful candidate will have experience in optimizing web page performance, Core Web Vital scores, and server-side rendering technologies such as NextJS on a GraphQL backend.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and building components and frameworks for rapid and reliable web page management.
  • Collaborating with multiple teams to gain insights and develop effective solutions.
  • Facilitating knowledge sharing and advocating for best practices.
  • Articulating engineering needs to non-technical team members.
  • Introducing new tooling to improve the developer experience.
  • Modeling initiative and ownership in achieving goals, improving processes, and solutions while demonstrating pragmatic excellence.

Requirements:

  • Commercial experience in software development environments, building, testing, and monitoring scalable front-end systems.
  • Experience developing rich web applications in TypeScript, React, and MobX.
  • Firm understanding and experience in web front-end tooling, including Webpack and NodeJS.
  • Experience in optimizing web page performance and Core Web Vital scores.
  • Firmly grounded computer science and web fundamentals, data structures, solution design, architecture, and design patterns.
  • Working collaboratively with team members and communicating effectively.
  • Passion for testing and ensuring software quality meets high standards.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong ability to reconcile user needs to find a balance between aligning to established paths and adoption of new solutions.
  • A product thinking mindset and willingness to contribute to the roadmap.
