We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Mental Health Care Specialist to fill a brand-new position that will play a pivotal role in strengthening access to mental health care across the New England and Northwest regions of NSW.
This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to help shape the future scope of mental health assessments—particularly those presenting to Emergency Departments. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with ED staff, psychiatrists, GPs, and community providers to deliver seamless, person-centred care.
The key responsibilities of this role include improving how individuals in rural and regional communities access timely, appropriate, and integrated mental health assessments. This involves working collaboratively with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective solutions that meet the unique needs of each community.
