Urban Development Design Manager

Job Description- Foster technical excellence in urban development engineering designs, ensuring timely delivery and meeting budgetary, quality, safety, and timeframe targets.
- Lead selected design teams to develop and implement high-quality technical delivery through effective review processes, exceeding client expectations.
- Establish and maintain relationships with internal teams, external organizations, and stakeholders to foster cooperation and ensure the integrity and quality of overall designs.
- Manage subconsultants, quality assurance, client feedback, and communication of changes/modifications effectively.
- Champion involvement and inclusion of interstate and overseas teams, ensuring seamless service offerings.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A tertiary qualified engineer with extensive experience in urban development design, preferably with Melbourne Retail Water Agencies (MRWA) sewer and water auditing accreditation.
- A relevant degree in Civil Engineering, recognized by a relevant Industry Association or Institute, with Chartered professional status or equivalent and a postgraduate qualification being highly regarded.
- Minimum ten years of industry experience, including overseeing engineering aspects of projects and applying standards and technical knowledge within the NSW urban development market.
- Ability to provide technical expertise and direction through consultative support and effective communication to teams.
- Leadership, management, mentoring, and developing large to medium-scale diverse project teams.
- Experience working in multi-discipline teams on major complex projects across various market sectors.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.
The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
