About the RoleThis is a fixed-term, full-time appointment for 2 years, with a salary level of 8/9: $113,063 - $140,279 plus 17% superannuation. You will work 2 days a week on our stunning Wollongong campus and 3 days a week from home.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with vendors, technical teams, and business stakeholders to design and implement essential cyber security capabilities.
- Play a key role in enhancing the University's cyber security posture and elevating the maturity to ensure the protection of our systems and data.
- Work alongside the project team to deliver program objectives, identifying problems, analysing security gaps, and implementing security controls in line with our Cyber Security strategy.
- Aid in the development of information security policies, standards, and guidelines, while offering strategic advice on risk management and compliance.
We are looking for a candidate with at least 5 years of experience in a similar position, with expertise in areas such as Endpoint and Network Security, Cloud and SaaS Security, Data Loss Prevention, Threat and Vulnerability, Identity and Access Management, and Asset Management. Strong analytical and communication skills are also essential.
