About the Role

This permanent part-time position offers a unique chance to work in a hospital setting, providing support with cleaning, catering, and other essential services. As a Service Assistant, you will be responsible for preparing, serving, and delivering food to clients, as well as maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve food to clients in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment in the hotel services sector of the hospital and aged care facilities
  • Assist with housekeeping duties, including laundry and linen management
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current driver's licence and willingness to drive on country roads
  • Flexibility and commitment to participate in a rostering system (including weekends as required)
  • At minimum, a limited level of experience in the areas of housekeeping, cooking/catering, and laundry
  • Experience working with Aboriginal consumers
  • A basic knowledge of safe working conditions, Food Safety Standards, and Infection Control Standards (including cleaning and sanitizing processes)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
