Make a meaningful impact in the lives of people with disabilities as a Specialist Behaviour Support Practitioner.

This rewarding role offers an opportunity to collaborate with individuals, families, and support teams to develop strategies that promote dignity, autonomy, inclusion, and well-being.

As an SBS Practitioner, you'll work closely with clients to understand their unique needs and co-design behaviour support plans tailored to their requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a clinical caseload within your scope and meet key performance indicators.
  • Develop and implement Behaviour Support Plans that address individual needs and circumstances.
  • Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments to inform proactive support strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate plans, ensuring ongoing effectiveness and adaptability.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance your skills and expertise.
  • Provide supervision (if qualified) to junior practitioners.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Registration as a Core Practitioner with all 'capabilities met' or Proficient Practitioner (or eligibility for progression to this level).
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in fields such as Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Applied Behaviour Analysis, Disability Studies, or Health.
  • Current checks and licenses: National Police Check, NDIS Worker Screening, Working with Children Check, Australian driver's license, and access to a vehicle.
  • Experience working in disability-related fields.
  • If applicable, full registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
