Customer Service Associate Role Overview

We are seeking a Customer Service professional to deliver an exceptional shopping experience for every customer.

The ideal candidate will be able to provide assistance with questions and recommendations, manage sales transactions while working assigned cash registers, maintain the security of cash and protect company assets, keep stores well-stocked, and recover merchandise.

  • Duties:
  • Provide customers with timely and accurate information and recommendations
  • Manage sales transactions while operating assigned cash registers
  • Maintain the security of cash and protect company assets
  • Keep stores well-stocked, and recover merchandise
  • Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks, stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards
  • Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful work environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
  • Responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred
  • Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required
  • Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
  • Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required
  • Strong organizational and communication skills are required
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required
