Purpose of Role

We drive financial sustainability and operational excellence across the Government by executing strategic initiatives.

Our team collaborates with Central Agencies to develop and execute government investments across diverse sectors.

This work contributes to better financial and economic outcomes for Queensland, enhancing our state's prosperity.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Deliver strategic advice through internal teams and/or externally sourced partnerships and providers.
  • Provide high-quality written reports and analysis for advisory assignments to support informed decision making.
  • Support the portfolio lead and team members on developing investment pipelines and strategic projects.
  • Contribute to delivery of Team, Group, and Corporate KPIs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve optimal results.

Competencies

  • Technical Competencies: Understanding public sector issues and challenges, commercial transaction experience, and ability to articulate investment rationale.
  • Behavioural Competencies: Strong interest in improving government investment outcomes and personal drive, integrity, and accountability.
  • Leadership & Management Competencies: Demonstrates inclusive behaviours and provides feedback to support and coach others where required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline is required for professional roles.
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years employment experience in roles that demonstrate overall competency, including corporate finance, feasibility studies, due diligence, and transaction structuring.
