Intensive Care Unit Medical Director Opportunity

Mackay Base Hospital is seeking an experienced and skilled Intensivist to lead our dynamic and supportive Intensive Care Unit team.

The ICU has 16 intensive care beds for adult and pediatric patients and provides outreach services. With a strong leadership team and well-resourced medical and nursing workforce, you will manage challenging and rewarding cases collaboratively with local specialists.

About the Role:

  • Provide high-quality patient care in the ICU
  • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals
  • Participate in ongoing education and training programs to stay up-to-date with best practices

Requirements:

  • Registration as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Fellowship of the College of Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand (FCICM)
  • Eligibility for registration or equivalent overseas qualifications
