About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Online Merchandiser to join our dynamic Marketing Sciences team at DEPT. As a key member of our eBay Australia account, you will be responsible for driving conversion and boosting business performance through strategic merchandising initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage category pages to ensure site standards are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Support inventory planning, wireframing, campaign and events builds, and QA to deliver successful client outcomes.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client content management systems and objectives to advise on optimal solutions.
  • Construct product ranges that balance price architecture, product variety, and other parameters to meet target market needs.
  • Source and upload products, continuously optimizing events, campaigns, and category pages.
  • Prioritize campaigns across desktop, mobile, and email platforms to ensure consistent execution.
  • Analyze performance data and provide insights and proposed actions to clients for weekly trading reports.
  • Conduct trend research and competitor analysis for weekly and quarterly planning.
Requirements
  • Strong experience in planning and executing digital campaigns, preferably in the retail sector.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a good eye for style and retail trends.
  • Highly organized, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines under pressure, and make the best use of resources.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to think strategically and communicate effectively.
  • Familiarity with various CMS platforms and the ability to quickly adapt to new processes and tools.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and understanding of SEO principles.
  • Analytical experience and a solid understanding of business acumen.
