Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Production Manager to oversee daily operations at our facility. This hands-on role involves coordinating and executing production activities to ensure targets are met, quality standards are upheld, and operational efficiency is maintained.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, including WHS Management System, Quality Assurance Programme, GMP, and HACCP Food Safety System.
  • Assist in monitoring the daily production schedule in line with operational goals and quality standards.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate logistics to ensure efficient operations.
  • Manage staffing levels to meet operational requirements efficiently.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on commodities and finished goods, ensuring compliance with predetermined standards.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with the production team and other departments to streamline operations, resolve customer issues and maintain inventory levels effectively.
  • Provide guidance, training and support to the production team, fostering a positive and safe work environment.
  • Handle customer interactions with professionalism.
  • Monitor and report on equipment maintenance needs to minimise downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Supervise the receival of raw materials, ensuring adherence to quality and safety compliance and report discrepancies to the Production Manager.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Agricultural Science, Operations Management).
  • Proven experience in production management or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with WHS Management System, Quality Assurance Programme, GMP, and HACCP Food Safety System.
  • Possess excellent time management and organisational skills.
