Roles and Responsibilities

This is a part-time role that involves working within a team to provide high-quality support services to Judges, Registrars, legal practitioners and the public.

The successful candidate will be required to carry out a diverse range of tasks and perform various activities in a courtroom setting, including:

  • Setting up courtrooms, opening and closing Court, handing up documents, swearing in witnesses, operating courtroom technology and supporting digital litigation practices.
  • Assisting other team members with administrative tasks from time to time.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Familiarity with the Australian Legal System and Court procedures.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment and provide high-quality service to clients.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of existing Court applications.

  1. Courtesy and Client Service: Deals with clients and staff with courtesy and respect.
  2. Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Demonstrates an understanding of technology and its role in the future of the Court.
  3. Excellence in Professional Practice and Procedure: Understands the role of the Court and follows procedures accurately.
