Role Overview

As a police custody officer, you play a vital role in the management and welfare of individuals in custody.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the care and supervision of persons in custody to ensure their health, wellbeing and safety.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding the management, transport and offsite attendance of persons in custody.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as preparing correspondence, attendance records and reports.
  • Supervise individuals in court-ordered custody.
