About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team in St Marys. As a key member of the operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the plant's equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend lifespan.
  2. Conduct thorough fault diagnosis and repair of equipment to minimize downtime and reduce maintenance costs.
  3. Oversee maintenance contractors and ensure that all work is completed to a high standard.
  4. Develop and implement maintenance schedules to prevent equipment failure and ensure maximum uptime.
  5. Collaborate with other departments to ensure that maintenance activities align with business objectives.
  6. Identify and report potential safety hazards and implement corrective actions to ensure a safe working environment.
  7. Prepare and submit detailed reports on maintenance activities, including costs and recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  2. Minimum 5 years' experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  3. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment, including pumps, motors, and conveyor systems.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
