Procurement Expert Role

This full-time position is a great opportunity to grow your skills and start a long-term career in procurement and supply chain.

  • Assist and manage suppliers to ensure timely delivery of product, quality of product meets standards, and product integrity is maintained through delivery and storage processes.
  • Timely review of product demand planning and stock levels to ensure purchase orders are placed within supplier lead times.
  • Monitor inventory levels, analyse usage patterns, and forecast demand to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and pricing.
  • Prepare reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance for management review.
  • Liaise with various departments to understand their purchasing needs, provide guidance on procurement processes, and ensure timely delivery of required goods and services.

Key responsibilities include working closely with the Supply Chain team to improve operational efficiency, implement process improvements, and contribute to a safe working environment.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Strong interest in procurement and purchasing.
  • Good communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Suite, namely Excel.
  • Desirable - tertiary qualifications in Business/Commerce, Procurement, Supply Chain, Planning or other related discipline.
