Site Reliability Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to lead the technical direction of our platform.

  • The ideal candidate will have 12 years of professional experience in software development and architecture.
  • A clear understanding of the impact of product and platform design on a SaaS business success is essential.
  • The engineer must be proficient in development technologies, architectures, and platforms with the ability to see the bigger picture.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, specifically Microsoft Azure, is required.
  • A strong troubleshooting skillset and hands-on ability for complex technical issues are necessary.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages, automation tooling, and CI/CD pipeline automation is a must.
  • An ownership approach to engineering and product outcomes is expected.
  • Leading incident management and post-mortem reviews are also key responsibilities.

The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, DevOps, and product teams to align on reliability goals and incident response processes.

They will also participate in on-call rotations and provide 24/7 support for critical incidents.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and maintain monitoring solutions for infrastructure, application performance, and user experience.
  2. Implement automation tools to streamline tasks, scale infrastructure, and ensure seamless deployments.
  3. Ensure application reliability, availability, and performance, minimizing downtime and optimizing response times.
  4. Lead incident response, including identification, triage, resolution, and post-incident analysis.
  5. Conduct capacity planning, performance tuning, and resource optimization.
  6. Collaborate with security teams to implement best practices and ensure compliance.
  7. Manage deployment pipelines and configuration management for consistent and reliable app deployments.
  8. Develop and test disaster recovery plans and backup strategies.
