About the Role

Nyrstar Port Pirie Pty Ltd is a leading global multi-metals business, with a market-leading position in zinc and lead, and growing positions in other base and precious metals. As a Waste Recycling Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the physical management of the large site recycling program at our Port Pirie facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deployment of Recycling Infrastructure: Deploy labelled recycling bins in work areas across site, including skips for scrap metal, blue-bootie bins, recyclable bottle bins, cardboard bins, and general rubbish bins.
  • Scrap Metal Collection and Processing: Collect, sort, and load scrap metal into central collection bins and load onto trucks for off-site removal.
  • Paper and Cardboard Recycling: Collect and deliver office paper and cardboard to the Paper Mache Shed for processing and application to site stockpiles of leaded materials.
  • Waste Tracking and Reporting: Track and record all recycled materials as required by the EPA, for sustainability reporting and commercial diligence.
Requirements
  • Organisational and Time Management Skills: Demonstrate a good level of organisational and time management skills to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Forklift License: Hold a valid forklift license, essential for the role.
  • Partnership and Collaboration: Ability to work in partnerships with stakeholders to achieve targets within the workflow process.
  • Knowledge of SWI and Site Procedures: Knowledge of SWI and site procedures desirable.
