Family Medicine Specialist
Position Overview:
As a Family Medicine Specialist, you will be an integral member of the healthcare team providing comprehensive primary health care services to Canadian Armed Forces members.
Responsibilities:
- You will perform in-depth health assessments and analyze data from multiple sources to diagnose diseases or disorders.
- You will manage patient care, initiating and implementing treatment plans within your scope of practice.
- You will develop strategies to promote health and prevent illness with individuals.
- You will conduct periodic health examinations and determine fitness for patients with acute or chronic illness or disease.
- You will make informed medical employment limitation recommendations.
- You will work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team and consult with other health professionals as necessary.
Qualifications:
- You must be licensed and in good standing with the relevant medical authorities.
- You should hold certification in Family Medicine from a reputable organization.
- You should have Basic Life Support for Health Providers or CPR/AED Level C Certification.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to obtain Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level.
- Certification in Basic Aviation and Dive Medicine is considered desirable but not mandatory.
