We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at Gough Recruitment AU. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in preparing orders to suppliers and sub-contractors, maintaining and updating estimating templates, and managing the estimating build workflow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimating and Cost Management: Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for construction projects, including preparation of orders to suppliers and sub-contractors.
  • Template Maintenance: Maintain and update estimating templates to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Workflow Management: Manage the estimating build workflow, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of estimates.
  • Client and Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with clients, suppliers, supervisors, and builders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement new and efficient processes for completing accurate Bill of Quantities.
Requirements:
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years experience in Estimating in the Construction/Development Industry.
  • Skills: Ability to interpret plans and specifications, possess a high level of skill to manage a packaging workflow effectively, and working knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Qualifications: Relevant tertiary and trade qualifications.
Desirable Skills:
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well as an individual as well as in a team environment.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Competent with problem-solving and self-motivated/go-getter with a desire for accuracy.
  • Organisation: Well-organised and able to meet deadlines.
