This role is ideal for an experienced professional in information management looking to expand their skill set and contribute to a dynamic team. As an Information Management Specialist, you will play a key part in shaping the organization's approach to managing its vast array of records and documents.
Job Description:As a highly skilled professional with expertise in information management, you will be responsible for supporting the Knowledge Management team in ensuring that all information assets are properly managed, secured, and made accessible when needed. Your primary focus will be on identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with sensitive information, as well as implementing best practices for record-keeping and document management.
In this capacity, you will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, develop strategies, and implement solutions for efficient information management. This includes conducting regular assessments, creating and maintaining documentation, tracking remediation progress, and providing recommendations for process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of existing information management processes and procedures;
- Develop and implement effective solutions for improving information security and compliance;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address gaps in information management policies and procedures;
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessment results and implementation plans;
- Provide training and support to staff members on new information management procedures and tools.
Requirements:
- Relevant degree in Information Management or related field;
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in a similar role within the public or private sector;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels;
- Ability to think critically and analyze complex information management issues;
- Proven experience with Atlassian tools (Confluence, JIRA) is highly desirable.
