Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Steward to join our team on the stunning K'gari (Fraser Island) in a live-on-island arrangement. As a key member of our housekeeping and food service team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including floors, counters, and storage areas
  • Assist with food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety and handling guidelines
  • Transport and store food items safely, following correct handling techniques
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail and cleanliness
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Hands-on approach to work, with a professional outlook and invested interest in the hospitality industry
  • Ability to take direction, follow instructions, and maintain confidentiality when necessary
