Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled forestry professional to join our team as a Contract Management Officer. This role involves leading the management and implementation of forest operations, including clear-felling and restocking, as well as managing low-impact silvicultural systems.

The successful candidate will have experience working across a wide range of land management disciplines and knowledge of sustainable forest management, UKWAS and forest certification schemes. They will also be able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on the contract management and implementation of forest operations
  • Prepare bespoke contracts using GIS and IT tools
  • Work closely with customers and contractors to identify constraints and opportunities
  • Ensure work on the ground is carried out safely and to a high standard
Requirements
  • Experience of working across a wide range of land management disciplines
  • Knowledge of sustainable forest management, UKWAS and forest certification schemes
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Certificate in forestry or related field
