Construction Project Supervisor

This role involves working as the vital link between the principal and the contractor. You'll be responsible for supervising day-to-day construction activities, ensuring quality standards are met, and verifying that works are carried out as per design and contract specifications.
As a project engineer, you will step in to proactively identify and resolve site issues, keeping things on track and preventing costly surprises down the line.
The job requires strong technical skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to communicate effectively with contractors, clients, councils, and colleagues.
You'll need to be methodical, logical, and detail-oriented, but also have the drive to jump in and solve problems on the spot.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervising day-to-day construction activities, ensuring quality standards are met, and verifying that works are carried out as per design and contract specifications.
- Stepping in to proactively identify and resolve site issues, keeping things on track and preventing costly surprises down the line.
- Assessing claims, tracking costs, managing supporting documentation, and maintaining clear communication between stakeholders.
- Reviewing and supporting tender packages, assisting with BOQs and estimates, and helping prepare technical and financial reports that feed into bigger picture decision-making.
