Job Title: Children'S Contact Worker

This role involves working with children in out of home care and those from separated families. The position requires high quality supervision for visits between the child and/or young person and their families, ensuring the child's best interests are protected.

About The Role:

The Supervised Contact Worker is responsible for facilitating safe and constructive contact visits. This involves positive interactions between the parent/participant and child/children to build and/or maintain their relationship.

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as social welfare, psychology, education, counselling or community services. They will also possess excellent communication, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.

In addition, the successful applicant will have the ability to work with clients who display challenging and difficult behaviours. They must be able to remain impartial, maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

A current drivers licence, comprehensively insured vehicle and access to a computer for work purposes are essential requirements.

We are looking for an individual who can think on their feet, make decisions in complex situations and work autonomously. Flexibility and willingness to work non-standard hours, including most weekends and public holidays, is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Manage complex situations and make decisions quickly.
