We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our clinical leadership team as an Infection Control Coordinator. This is a key role that will play a critical part in ensuring the highest standards of infection control and prevention across our hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement infection control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with national standards and guidelines.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Provide education and training to staff on infection control best practices and ensure that all staff are aware of their roles and responsibilities in maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives that promote patient safety and reduce the risk of infection.
- Monitor and report on infection control data and key performance indicators to inform decision-making and drive improvement.
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1), General.
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications in Clinical Nursing (e.g. Perioperative, Critical Care Nursing) / Infection Control or working towards.
- Minimum 3 years' post-grad experience working within an acute healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and a strong understanding of clinical governance as relevant to infection control and hospital management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and ability to create, interpret and present data.
