Stroke Medicine Specialist Wanted

We are seeking a qualified Medical Specialist to join our team as a Locum Stroke Physician or Neurologist. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills and experience in hyperacute stroke management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily ward rounds in the stroke unit, attending to patients from the ED and rural facilities.
- Lead a stroke clinic on Tuesday mornings.
- Provide emergency hyperacute stroke consultations to satellite hospitals in the district.
Requirements:
- Certification with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Proven experience in managing strokes, including CT perfusion reading and thrombolysis.
Benefits:
- Accommodation provided during the period of this placement.
- Return economy travel to and from Toowoomba.
- Mileage can be claimed for the return trip at 85c/km if driving own vehicle.
- A Medicare rebateable provider number is required prior to commencement.
Documents Required:
- Confirmed dates of availability from locum medical officers.
- A current signed and dated CV.
- A copy of current AHPRA registration.
- Two references – no more than 12 months old and at least one from a current position.
- Certified copies of Driver's Licence and passport.
