Senior Geotechnical Position Overview

This role combines technical expertise with leadership skills, requiring a balance of project management and client-facing problem-solving.

Working with an energetic team, you'll be involved in:

  • Collaborating with experienced geotechnical professionals on national and international projects.
  • Delivering projects through identification and management of risks and ensuring high-quality work outputs.
  • Conducting geotechnical analyses in areas such as slope stability, foundations, and pavement designs.
  • Interpreting data to develop practical and commercial solutions.
  • Providing technical guidance to junior team members to enhance their skills.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Degree-level qualifications in geotechnical engineering or related fields, with postgraduate qualifications beneficial.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in geotechnical consulting, including fieldwork data collection and site investigation reporting.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and advice-giving skills, with the ability to prioritise and co-ordinate teams.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software, such as Plaxis and Abaqus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a focus on client service.
  • Project management skills, along with a bias for action and decisiveness.
